
BroadwayWorld has confirmed that War Horse, which just opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre last week, is gearing up for a national tour, as well as a separate sit-down Toronto production. While details on the tour have not yet been announced, the show will play Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre from June 13 - July 22, 2012. The Toronto production is set to open in February of 2012.
The National Theatre of Great Britain's production of War Horse, presented by Lincoln Center Theater and The National Theatre of Great Britain in association with Bob Boyett opened last week at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65th Street). War Horse is based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo, adapted by Nick Stafford, with Handspring Puppet Company, and directed by Marianne Elliott and Tom Morris.
