According to The Telegraph, Downton Abbey star Laura Carmichael took the stage to some harsh words from the audience in her debut in Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya at the West End's Vaudeville Theatre on November 2nd. The new musical Kinky Boots, from four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), ends its pre-Broadway run at Chicago's Bank of America Theatre today, November 4, 2012. Kinky Boots will begin preview performances on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, with an official opening night set for Thursday, April 4, 2013. Rentrak's President of Theatrical Worldwide, Ron Giambra commented, "Skyfall continues at No. 1 worldwide, with a huge weekend gross of $156 million from 81 international markets. The 10-day cume now stands at $287 million. Madagascar 3 crossed the $500 million mark internationally last week and Hotel Transylvania reached $100 million overseas this weekend."
