Earlier this week, the cast of AMERICAN IDIOT set out for Southhampton, where they will launch the UK tour of Green Day's explosive, award-winning Broadway rock musical, which will culminate in a London season at the legendary HMV Hammersmith Apollo from December 4 - 16. Before the company left for he UK, they invited BroadwayWorld's Randy Rainbow to a New Jersey salon, where they gathered to get haircuts, dye jobs and receive overall touch-ups on their punk rock looks. Understudies from BRING IT ON, ONCE and WICKED Get Challenged in 'Half Hour 2' Concert, 10/28

On October 28th at 8pm, BroadwayUnderstudies.com has once again invited some of Broadway's most talented understudies to the stage of the Laurie Beechman Theatre to share their rare talent—the ability to perform at a second's notice. They'll be thrown into the fire in "Half Hour 2: A Last Minute Concert," a show where even they don't know what they'll be singing before they step up to the microphone. Today's 28th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles saw a massive turnout, with 30,000 participants filling the streets of West Hollywood and Los Angeles. Celebrity supporters, elected officials, and notable AIDS activists addressed the crowd assembled in and around West Hollywood Park before the walkers set out on the route. This concert will feature musical theatre writers—ages 19 to 90—who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal, established and emerging, each writing a song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City.
