In a new interview with the Associated Press, Tony Award winning producer, Kevin McCollum (MOTOWN, RENT, IN THE HEIGHTS) has confirmed that another passion project of his may soon be making its stage premiere.
As previously reported, 20th Century Fox, McCollum, film producer John Davis (Predator, The Firm, Grumpy Old Men, I Robot, Chronicle) and industry executive Tom McGrath entered into an agreement to develop live stage productions based upon the studio's vast library of films, which has lead to the world premiere of EVER AFTER, starring Christine Ebersole, Margo Seibert and more, which will debut later this month at Paper Mill Playhouse.
Now, McCollum has confirmed that musical adaptations of the 2006 comedy THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and MRS. DOUBTFIRE are in development. McCollum previously expressed his interest in those specific properties in 2013.

The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 comedy-drama film, a loose screen adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel of the same name.
