In a new interview with multi-award-winning modern comedy icon Tina Fey, the actress and comedienne reveals that she is a big fan of the NBC musical drama series SMASH.

"Oh, I watch SMASH every week," Fey says excitedly in the new TV Guide clip just released in which she discusses her favorite current must-see TV shows - her "Watchlist" - which also include MAD MEN, Veep and CHOPPED.

If only Fey could have cooked up a scenario for her erstwhile NBC sitcom 30 Rock to cross paths with SMASH somehow while it was still on the air, after ending its 7-season run earlier this year - though, of course, there were a few fleeting references to the musical series in the final two seasons of Fey's multi-Emmy Award-winning critical hit, it would have been simply marvelous to see Jenna Maroney (played by actual Tony-winner Jane Krakowski) battle it out with Ivy Lynn and/or Karen Cartwright!

But, blergh, apparently it just wasn't meant to be - but, hey, maybe Fey can find a way to appear in Season Three herself (if there is one)!

SMASH airs Saturdays at 9 PM on NBC.
