Time Out NY Lounge Presents KELLY KING & MARTI GOULD CUMMINGS 4/27

By:

The Time Out New York Lounge will present Billboard chart topper Kelly King and nightlife cabaret star Marti Gould Cummings, featuring Brad Gardner of Broadway's The Addams Family at the piano, in the return of their new monthly concert at New World Stages' Time Out New York Lounge on Wednesday April 27th at 10:30pm. This concert is free to the public. The Time Out New York Lounge is located at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street (between Eighth & Ninth Avenues).

Marti Gould Cummings moved to NYC at the age of 17 to study musical theatre. During his time as an actor, he toured nationally, was featured on several hit TV shows, and appeared in the Drama Desk nominated musical TWIST off-Broadway. As time went on he realized he was put on this earth to make a difference for the LGBT community. Since forming Broadway Speaks Out! with Anthony Hollock, Marti has become one of New York's most influential gay rights activists. He has appeared on LOGO, been featured in top gay and Broadway publications, and presented album of the year at the OUTMusic Awards. Through the red carpet interviews, sit down interviews, weekly talk show, and benefits he hosts, he truly hasgiven a voice to the younger generation in the LGBT community.

Recording artist Kelly King defines the new model of the independent music industry, driving her own way to the top with her 5 1/2-octave range, fierce determination and powerhouse live performance. Billboard Magazine praises Kelly saying, "It is time to crown the next King!" This Atlanta-born/Nashville-raised diva is excited to release her new EP "The Real Definition: Workin' Girl Remixes," which includes remixes for the dance clubs along with two bonus tracks "Alright" from the forthcoming full length album and Kelly's Billboard hit ballad "I Don't Wanna Sing That Song" from her debut album "Live The Dream." "Live The Dream" garnered praise from national press including Billboard Magazine, Music Connection, "E! News." and more. This was an extremely rare accomplishment for any independent artist. It more than secured Kelly's mark on the music industry and proved in some cases, that the talent prevails. No one can deny the raw and pure talent that is Kelly King. Since then, Kelly has opened for Kenny ‘Babyface' Edmonds, Michael Bolton and headlined Pride Festivals this past summer in both the US and Europe.

The Time Out New York Lounge also features HAPPY HOUR Monday through Friday evenings from 8pm to 10pm: your second drink is free! There are Drink Specials every night as well!! There's never a cover or minimum! The Time Out New York Lounge is located at New World Stages 340 West 50th St between 8th and 9th Avenues.
