According to published reports, Ticketsmaster has just proposed a settlement in response to a class action lawsuit that was filed eight years ago. As a part of the settlement, Ticketmaster will credit cutomers who used their service in the past 12 years.

The lawsuit accused Ticketmaster of excessive order-processing fees and UPS delivery fees. Customers who purchased tickets through ticketmaster October 21,1999 through October 19, 2011 will receive credit of $1.50 on up to 17 future Ticketmaster purchases. Customers who paid for expedited shipping will receive $5 credit for up to 17 future purchases.

The final court hearing to approve the settlement is set to take place on May 29, 2012, at 8:30 a.m.
