Theo Ubique Extends SOME ENCHANTED EVENING For Second Time Thru 7/3

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre announces a second extension for its current hit show, "Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein," which will now run through July 3. Performances are at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 p.m., Sundays. Tickets are immediately available for purchase.

The original cast will stay intact through July 3 with Stephanie Herman coming on board as an understudy for Dana Tretta on May22 and June 12.

The musical revue of songs by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein features 36 full songs from 10 of their musicals and a total of 62 songs when including partial numbers in medleys. Performances are selling out in the 60-seat No Exit Café since the revue opened March 13.
Some Enchanted Evening recently received two Jeff Awards Non-Equity nominations for Ensemble and Music Direction by Austin Cook, who also sings and accompanies on his own white, baby grand piano. In addition to Tretta and Cook, other ensemble members are Jeremy Trager, Evan Tyrone Martin, Sarah Schoch and Danni Smith.

Trager and Tretta also received Jeff Award nominations for roles in productions by other theatre companies. The awards ceremony and announcement of recipients is June 6.

Tickets are $25 on Fridays and Sundays and $30 on Saturdays and can be purchased online at www.theoubique.org or www.theo-u.org or by calling the ticket service at 800-595-4849. Dinner (optional) is $20 for three courses plus beverages, tax and tip and can be reserved when purchasing a ticket. Doors open and the free shuttle van from the parking lot starts 90 minutes prior to curtain.

The No Exit Café is an intimate 60-seat cabaret space located at 6970 N. Glenwood in the Glenwood Arts District of Rogers Park by the Morse stop on the Red Line.
