Theatre by the Sea Announces 2008 Season
On October 3, 2007 Theatre By The Sea (TBTS) owner and producer Bill Hanney, along with Producing Artistic Director Amiee Turner and Managing Producer Joel Kipper announced the 2008 Summer Schedule for TBTS's 75th anniversary season
The season will open on May 28, 2008 with the Tony Award winner for Best Musical, Ain't Misbehavin', which will be presented through June 15.
The season continues on June 18 with the patriotic musical, George M!, which will run through July 12.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita arrives on the Matunuck stage on July 16 and will run through August 3.
The Producers, Mel Brooks' award winning musical, will be the season finale'; opening on August 6 and wrapping up the season on August 31.
Previews for all productions are scheduled for Wednesday at 8:00pm and Thursday at 2:00 and 8:00pm. Opening weekend performances will be held on Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 4:30 and 8:30pm and Sunday at 3:00 and 8:00pm.
All other performances will be held Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8:00pm, Thursdays at 2:00pm, Saturdays at 4:30 and 8:30pm and Sundays at 5:00pm.
The theatre is located at 364 Cards Pond Road, Matunuck, RI. Tickets are $35.00 for preview performances and $39.00-$49.00 for all other performances. Discount rates for groups of 20 or more are available.
