Theatre Out Presents BEYOND THERAPY, 9/23-10/15
By: Kelsey Denette
Theatre Out, Orange County's gay and lesbian theatre, is proud to present the classic Christopher Durang absurdist comedy, Beyond Therapy. Bruce is in therapy. Bruce's girlfriend, Prudence, is in therapy. Bruce's lover, Bob, is in therapy. The waiter is in therapy and even the therapists are in therapy. Will there be a happy ending? Only if they can all learn to live beyond therapy.
"Absurdist comedy is a dangerous weapon, but in the hands of a skilled director like David Chorley, Beyond Therapy proves that it's just as relevant today as it was in 1982," commented David C. Carnevale, Theatre Out's Managing Director."The audience goes on a special journey through the epic 1980s with Bruce and Prudence. Yes, there's lots of shoulder pads, popped collars and plastic jewelry, but there's also a very touching love story at it's core," commented Joey Baital, Theatre Out Producer.$18.00 General Admission, $15 students with ID
Tickets available online at www.theatreout.com or by calling the Theatre Out Box Office at (714) 826-8700.
