Based on Victor Hugo's classic novel, LES MISÉRABLES is an epic saga that sweeps through three turbulent decades of 19th century France. It is the story of one man, the fugitive Jean Valjean, who is pitted against the cruel and self-righteous Inspector Javert. The story begins in France in 1916 when Valjean is released from prison for the crime of stealing a loaf of bread. He's spent nineteen years on a chain gang and now by law he must display a yellow card at all times and so is condemned to be an outcast. Only the saintly Bishop Digne treats him kindly and the parolee repays him by stealing his silver. Valjean is caught by police and is astonished when the Bishop lies to save him. Valjean vows to start his life anew. This powerful tale of love, loss, triumph and redemption includes memorable songs such as "One Day More" and "Do You Hear The People Sing?"
LES MISÉRABLES has won more than 50 major awards including a Grammy and eight Tony Awards! The show has broken all kinds of records: On June 22, 2002 LES MISÉRABLES became the first Broadway musical ever to play in China with a three-week engagement in Shanghai. The Broadway production ended its16-year run on May 18, 2003. On October 6, 2006 LES MISÉRABLES became the world's longest running musical.

Robert Evan stars as Jean Valjean. He starred on Broadway in Jekyll & Hyde, Les Misérables (Valjean), Little Shop Of Horrors (the Dentist), Dance Of The Vampires (Von Krolock/Professor), and Disney's Tarzan (Kerchak). Robert Hunt portrays Javert. Most recently he appeared at Carnegie Hall in Jerry Springer The Opera after starring in the Broadway revival of Les Misérables as Javert. He starred as Jud in the Oklahoma state centennial production of Oklahoma!
Cindy Benson is Madame Thenardier. Her Broadway credits include the original production of Les Misérables as well as CATS. Her debut CD "Out On A Whim" is also the name of her one woman show.
Nikki Renee Daniels plays Fantine. On Broadway she's been in Les Misérables, Aida, Nine, Lestat, Little Shop Of Horrors and The Book of Love. Her opera credits include the part of Clara in "Porgy and Bess" with the New York City Opera. As a soloist she's sung with the San Francisco Symphony and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra.
Anderson Davis is Marius. He performed the role on Broadway. Other New York credits include Damn Yankees at
City Center Encores. Regional credits include A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum (Denver Center Theater) and The Who's Tommy (Pittsburgh CLO).
Jenny Fellner portrays Eponine. She starred as Sophie in Mamma Mia on Broadway and was in the national tour of All Shook Up.
Laurent Giroux is Thenardier. He has played Rooster Hannigan in the 20th Anniversary Tour of Annie, King Herod in the A.D. Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and was recently seen in the National Tour of The Light In The Piazza. He was featured in
Marvin Hamlisch's concert tour.
Kylie Liya Goldstein and
Carly Rose Sonenclar will alternate in the roles of Young Cosette and Young Eponine. Kylie made her Broadway debut in the revival of Les Misérables and was in the National Tour of Scrooge The Musical. She appears in the new Wachowski Brothers movie "Ninja Assassin." In 2006 Carly made her Broadway debut in Les Misérables playing Young Cosette for the entire run of the show, until it closed in January of 2008. She appeared as Kathryn in the movie "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II."
Deborah Lew stars as Cosette. On Broadway she starred as Belle in Beauty and the Beast, portrayed Vixen in the recent revival of The Threepenny Opera at Studio 54, and appeared in No, No Nanette at
City Center Encores. She performed in the world premiere of Up In The Air at the Kennedy Center.
Jimmy McEvoy and Jake Schwencke will alternate playing Gavroche. Last summer Jimmy played Gavroche at the St. Louis MUNY under the direction of Fred Hanson and Dan Riddle. Jake made his Broadway debut in
Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down The Wind.
Edward Watts plays Enjolras. He has starred in regional theater all around the country in shows such as Sound of Music and The Music Man and was Adam in the National Tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He had recurring roles on "The Sopranos" and "All My Children."
