Altar Boyz (now also in the midst of a National Tour), has endorsed Attorney General Eliot Spitzer for Governor of New York. No other musical has ever endorsed a candidate.

Eliot Spitzer was elected New York State Attorney General in 1998 in a stunning upset – Altar Boyz won the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award in a similar upset.
