Wonderland is a world of wonders, a world where fairy, elf-like creatures and humans meet and talk with one another. Wonderland is a place where a Cheshire-Cat keeps disappearing and reappearing, until only his grin remains - and even that suddenly disappears! Performing on the Gyder Stage for a limited engagement, ALICE IN WONDERLAND runs November 4 - 20.
Lewis Carroll's ALICE IN WONDERLAND stars Sydnie Greger as Alice, Megan Hanks as the Mad Hatter and Jenna Moses as The Cheshire Cat. Sydnie has recently been seen in Winnie the Pooh (Rabbit- AriZoni nomination) and Killer Halloween (Tina). Megan has won 2 National Youth Awards for Best Performing Actress in a lead role and an AriZoni Award for Best Supporting Actress. Jenna has been in several plays including Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Book, and Brave Little Tailor. Most recently, Jenna has worked with Trick or Treat! A Halloween Puppet Show.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND is directed by Chris Hamby. This is the 3rd script written by the talented C. Lynn Johnson that he has directed. Others include The Snow Queen and The Brave Little Tailor. C. Lynn Johnson is a local playwright and has wonthree ariZoni Awards for scriptwriting.Tickets are now on sale both online at www.theaterworks.org and at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. Performances are Thursday - Saturday 7:00 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday 1:30 p.m. Tickets for these performances are only $16.00 / adult and $12.00 / student (prices include service and processing fees).
