Theater Latte Da has announced their 2011-12 season of plays, kicking off on October 6, 2011.

Spelling Bee is the hilarious interactive musical comedy that chronicles the experience of six adolescent overachievers vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award-winning creative team has crafted the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place on earth where they can both stand out and fit in. Featuring Latté Da favorite Tod Petersen as Vice Principal Douglas Panch.

The working-class inhabitants of a southeast London apartment building get an emotional wake-up call when two teenage boys-next-door neighbors Jamie and Ste-unexpectedly fall in love. This moving drama was a hit on London's West End before becoming the international award-winning film. Jeremy Cohen, the new producing artistic director of the Playwrights' Center, makes his local directing debut with this production, featuring Erin Schwab as the voice of the incredible Mama Cass.
