The Marsh Presents Rick Reynolds' ONLY THE TRUTH IS FUNNY 7/11-8/30

By:

The Marsh is proud to present the San Francisco debut of critically acclaimed comedian Rick Reynolds' new one-man show, "Only The Truth Is Funny: Mid-Life At The Oasis" Saturdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 7 pm, starting July 11. This hysterical and touching autobiographical piece picks up where Rick's first two show's, The Emmy-nominated "Only The Truth Is Funny," and the wildly successful "All Grown Up... And No Place To Go" (which was spun off into the CBS sit-com "Life and Stuff") left off.

According to Rick, "When I performed "Happiness" at The Marsh two years ago I didn't feel that the show's theme (life is hard but totally worth it) was as clear as it could be, so I've channeled Frank Capra in an effort to nail the damned thing," says the award-winning monologist, "I've spent the last year of my life putting this show together and I'm absolutely sure it's the best thing I've ever done. In fact, if you can find a more thought provoking and inspirational show you've seen about a middle-aged, self-obsessed, therapy-hating, cry-baby from Petaluma, I'll refund the price of your ticket...

"Only The Truth Is Funny: Mid-Life At The Oasis" combines elements of all three of Rick's former shows to create the kind of theater experience The San Francisco Chronicle has called "belly laughs for the heart."

July 11 - August 30, 2009, Saturdays at 5 pm, Sunday at 7 pm at The Marsh San Francisco, 1062 Valencia Street @ 22nd Street in San Francisco.

Tickets are Saturday: $22 -50; Sunday: $15 -50; $50 reserved seating. For tickets, call 800-838-3006 or visit www.themarsh.org. For more information call 415-826-5750 or visit The Marsh website at www.themarsh.org.
