Tarzan and Little House On The Prairie's Kevin Massey and Hairspray's Lori Marinaci join Matt Lutz, Sierra Rein, and Mick Bleyer in this special evening of songs by Jay Alan Zimmerman.

SMOKIN'! explores the things you shouldn't do, but you're gonna anyway: smoke, drink, eat donuts, and fall in love with the wrong people. Sung by a bunch of hot next-gen Broadway singers, these songs celebrate your vices. It's all written by Jay Alan Zimmerman - who really should give up music because he's deaf now, but what the #$@%?! SMOKIN'! is only 10 bucks, and because you need to stop drinking, there's a two-drink minimum. Sure, it's hazardous to your health, but it's gonna feel soooo good.

Jay Alan Zimmerman is the composer and author of several original musicals including My Café Cinderella and HoliDaze, the variety show JAZ @ The Zipper, the song cycle Punctuated Thoughts, several aerial works, and even a multi-media symphony for musical robots. He composed the music for the plays Booth and Our Brutus, which were both Fringe First Award winners at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and had New York and London productions. His dance/film scores include Do Not Call It Fixity (Special Music Award, Grand Prix International Video Danse Festival and selected North American film in the MOMA retrospective, Georges Pompidou Centre, Paris) and The Last Leaf (Best Score, First Run Festival, NYC). He is also an award winning filmmaker with a BFA in film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. As he lost his hearing he became a solo performer of his own works, including Evil Eye, DEaF Jam and DEaF Man Mocking, all produced in NY by PACT and Dixon Place, as well as Jay Alan Zimmerman's Incredibly DEaF Musical, which debuted as part of DC's Capital Fringe Festival. For Smokin'! he will accompany the singers at the piano by lip reading. www.jayalanzimmerman.com
