The Winthrop Playmakers Present 'The Science of Affection,' 9/15-18
From the perspective of children and their parents, The Science of Affection follows Margaret Sayor and her new friend, a nameless boy, as they escape their neglectful parents and set out to find the mythical place they've hear about in their bedtime stories. Once the children are gone, their parents must come to terms with what they've become through loss and abuse, remembering the things which have stripped them of their humanity and turned them cold and distant, no more than ghosts. Once the hurt of fear, death, and apathy have created a schism between parent and child, is it possible to bridge a way back, what happens to love when it's not used?
