The Warner Stage Company Presents Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang July 30
Caractacus Potts (played by Brian Pia) and his flying car will arrive at the Warner Theatre on Saturday, July 30 when the Warner Stage Company's production of Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang opens.
In the early 20th century England, eccentric Caractacus Potts works as an inventor, a job which barely supports himself, his equally eccentric father (played by Mark E. Rees), and his two adolescent children, Jeremy (Timothy Perry) and Jemima ( Lauren Cassot)...But they're all happy. When the children beg their father to buy them their favorite plaything - a broKen Down jalopy of a car sitting at a local junk yard - Caractacus does whatever he can to make some money to buy it. Using his inventing skills, Caractacus transforms the piece of junk into a beautiful working machine, which they name Chitty Chitty Bang Bang because of the noise the engine makes. It not only drives but also flies and floats as it leads him, his two children and his beautiful lady friend, Truly Scrumptious (Bridget Krompinger), into a magical world of pirates, castles and endless adventure.
The Warner Stage Company's production of Chitty,Chitty, Bang, Bang is directed by Rick Doyle with musical director TJ Thompson and choreographer, Sheila Waters Fucci. Performances are Saturday, July 30 & August 6 at 7:30pm, Sunday, July 31 & August 7 at 2pm and Friday, August 5 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $19, $22, $25 and can be purchased by calling the Warner box office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org.
