On Monday, January 18th, The Theater People podcast welcomes Tony-nominated FUN HOME star Beth Malone.

Malone made her Broadway debut in the 2006 production of RING OF FIRE, and has found much success working regionally, including a critically acclaimed turn in the title role of THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN.

That production, at the Denver Center in 2014 was directed by Kathleen Marshall and featured a new book by Dick Scanlan and came before she was cast as the oldest Alison in FUN HOME's earlier incarnations.

In the episode, Malone shares stories of her years trying to make her mark in New York City, how she was cast in the FUN HOME role of a lifetime, being Cherry Jones' roommate at the Sundance Theater Lab, and her feelings about playing Broadway's first-ever lesbian protagonist.
