The Shakespeare's Sister Company Presents SUNDAY ON THE ROCKS, 9/29-10/9

The Shakespeare's Sister Company is producing "Sunday on the Rocks" by playwright Theresa Rebeck...a humbling and witty dark comedy which follows four women on their inevitable, intimate journeys and illustrates how violence weaves its way into their everyday lives. This production is being presented in anticipation of domestic violence awareness month at the Red Room Theater above the KGB Bar in downtown Manhattan from September 29th-October 9th, 2011. Grab a cocktail from the KGB Bar and join us for our show...nominated for the New York Innovative Theater Awards.

Join us on Tuesday, October 4th, the Shakespeare's Sister Company will host a self defense workshop and burlesque class free to the community from 6-9pm. Please see the Shakespeare's Sister website for more details. On Wednesday, October 5th, we will have a post-performance talk back.

Formed in 2008, the Shakespeare's Sister Company is a not-for-profit theater organization which supports women in the arts. Our commitment is to produce great new plays and established theatrical works by female authors. Our mission is to address global change through the theater, including women empowerment workshops and literacy for youth.
