The Playwrights Realm Hosts A Writers Block Party 2011 April 25
The Playwrights Realm - the Off-Broadway theatre company dedicated to nurturing early-career playwrights - will hold their annual benefit, a Writers Block Party on Monday, April 25 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the Ramscale South Loft Penthouse (462 West Street, at Bethune Street) in the West Village.
The indoor street soiree - which will boast everything from a grown-up lemonade stand to a high end yard sale - will be an opportunity for the public to meet and socialize with The Playwrights Realm's team of talented artists, including current Writing Fellow playwright Stefanie Zadravec, director Erik Pearson (DRAMATIS PERSONAE), Playwrights Realm Artistic Director Katherine Kovner, Playwrights Realm Producing Director Stephanie Ybarra, and more.
The Playwrights Realm is a nonprofit Off-Broadway Theater Company dedicated to nurturing the next generation of exciting theatrical voices by providing sustained support to early-career playwrights. Their past productions include: this season's DRAMATIS PERSONAE by Gonzalo Rodríguez Risco, Christopher Wall's DREAMS OF THE WASHER KING, Anna Ziegler's critically acclaimed production of DOV AND ALI and Anton Dudley's SUBSTITUTION. The Playwrights Realm is led by Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Stephanie Ybarra.
