Call Bar Hosts Appearance by JERSEY SHORE: THE MUSICAL Today, May 2
Chicago's Call Bar has announced that the cast of "Jersey Shore: The Musical" will perform at The Call tonight, May 2, 2012, during "Curtains Up! Wednesday" – Andersonville's Showtune Night!
"Jersey Shore: The Musical," now in its fourth extension of performances, has recently transferred from its original home at Studio BE, where it had its world premiere on July 22, 2011 and ran for eight months of weekend performances. Now, it's performing at the Greenhouse Theatre Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago for a run now through May 26.
And on Wednesday night, May 2nd, the cast will arrive at The Call, 1547 W. Bryn Mawr Avenue in Chicago, around 9 pm, and will perform around 10 pm, to publicize the show's transfer to bigger digs and to celebrate its success thus far. Admission to The Call and its combination of live performances and video favorites is free, and all persons must be 21 years of age or older.
"Jersey Shore: The Musical" was created by the sketch comedy group 4 Days Late, directed by Jason Lord and choreographed by John Gilmour, and with music direction by Matt Griffo. Original music is by Matt Griffo, Alex Myerchin and Jason Lord, with lyrics by Matt Griffo, Alex Myerchin, Jason Lord and Erin Lane.
The show, through its cast of 14, re-imagines the pop culture phenomenon that is "Jersey Shore" through an uproarious irreverent original score and wicked hilarious tone. Watch your favorite Jersey "celebrities" and their drunk, desperate and dramatic lifestyle, skewered on stage.
And get a taste of all the Jersey Shore success, both the original and the musical, on Wednesday night at The Call!
JERSEY SHORE: THE MUSICAL plays now thru May 26 at the Greenhouse Theatre Center (2257 N Lincoln Ave). Performances are Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30 PM with additional performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 PM.
