Though its time on Broadway was short, Claudia Shear, Tim Federle, Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen's TUCK EVERLASTING, a musical based on Natalie Babbitt's best-selling children's novel, warmed many hearts and won many fans.
A good number of those fans gathered tonight at Manhattan's Upper East Side Barnes and Noble, located at 150 E. 86th Street, for an event celebrating the release of TUCK EVERLASTING's original Broadway cast recording.
The event, featuring co-bookwriter Tim Federle, composer Chris Miller and lyricist Nathan Tysen, as well was cast members Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Michael Park and Michael Wartella, was livestreamed on Facebook.
TUCK EVERLASTING played its final performance Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 7:30pm after playing 28 previews and 39 regular performances at Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44th St.).TUCK EVERLASTING began previews March 31 and officially opened on April 26, 2016.
Based on the beloved novel by Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting has a book is by Tony Award nominee Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde) and award-winning author Tim Federle (Better Nate Than Ever), music by Chris Miller (The Burnt Part Boys), lyrics by Nathan Tysen (The Burnt Part Boys), was directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (Something Rotten!, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon).
