TTC Presents PSYCHO BEACH PARTY 6/9-25

The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC) opens its production of PSYCHO BEACH PARTY next week. Directed by George Saylez, performances will be June 9-11, 16-18 & 23-25, 2011 at 8pm at TTC's Studio - C-413 in the Monroe Center for the Arts in Hoboken, NJ.

Written by Charles Busch- playwright and star of the recent Off-Broadway hit, THE DIVINE SISTER, PSYCHO BEACH PARTY is the story of "Chicklet," a tomboy, who desperately wants to be part of the surf crowd on Malibu Beach in 1962. The only thing getting in the way, besides Mommie Dearest, is her split personalities. Among them is a black check out girl, an elderly radio talk show hostess and a male model named Steve. Her most dangerous alter ego is a sexually
voracious vixen named Ann Bowman who has nothing less than world domination on her mind.

"PSYCHO BEACH PARTY is the perfect show to transition from our regular season to the summer," remarks Producing Artistic Director David Zimmerman. "The campy humor and fast-paced fun complements our productions of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, and
even THE SANTALAND DIARIES and SEASON'S GREETING. It also gets us ready for a summer of great music, as we are planning (once again) Cabarets in the Shipyard Park in June, the musical GLORY DAYS in July in our Studio-C413, and then end with the Music of GREASE in Frank Sinatra Park.

The far out cast includes Ray Cusack, Heather Drew, Walter Free, Paul Kazalski, Annie Moor, Paige O'Malley, Brooke Tibbs, Kelly Anne Wadler, and Brian F. Waite with Franco Pedicini in the lead role as "Chicklet."
