TRASH CULTURE REVUE Presented by Mutantspace Arts Resource
By: Gabrielle Sierra
The Trash Culture Revue is set to hit Cork with an eclectic mix of art, literature, theatre, gigs, slam poetry, film, food and workshops. It's like no other arts festival in the country as it's all produced on a zero budget by members of Ireland's only free online arts resource, mutantspace.ie.
Through the collective will of its 800 members, mutantspace arts resource is delighted to be producing a new edition of The Trash Culture Revue with everything from a poetry and harp recital over lunch to a short film competition, punk pop and country music to readings from the Leitrim Pig Executive and the sweet Tale of Beetle and Bets to a Nashville Songwriting workshop for all you wordsmiths out there.Mutantspace is also hosting some of its Dublin members from The Brown Bread Mixtape and a number of Ireland's top spoken word poets such as Colm Keegan and Stephen James Smith. There's a Sunday BBQ and acoustic homage to Nirvanas classic album, Nevermind, which is 20 years old this year, and our members in the Big City Folk Collective from New York are showcasing an alt/folk line up of some of the best talent that City has to offer. For more details on the acts and what mutantspace is all about go to www.mutantspace.ie
