With days left in the first phase of the Campaign to Save Theater of the Stars, the company announces it has secured $330,000 toward its goal of $500,000 by the end of this week. Roger Bobb, nationally acclaimed film and television producer, and President and CEO of BobbCat Films, an Atlanta-based Production Company has committed a substantial portion of the amount currently raised. Theater of the Stars hopes to raise the balance of the goal and mount Dreamgirls starring the incomparable Jennifer Holliday next month.

Reaching its $500,000 goal is an important milestone in attaining the ultimate goal of a total of $1 million by August 30th. Theater of the Stars is asking the community to donate now, and join Mr. Bobb and their innumerable valued donors, to help preserve this iconic institution.

"We are thrilled at the tremendous vote of confidence that Mr. Bobb and all our donors and supporters have given Theater of the Stars, and we are confident that with additional community support, this organization, with the one- of-a-kind Chris Manos as our Producer, will continue for generations to come," said Brian D. Frey, Theater of the Stars, Vice President. "Chris has been such a force in this industry over these sixty years of Theater of the Stars and he's forged so many new paths for so many talented people... it's our hope to be able to see this hurdle through in his honor, and get back to the business of presenting and producing great musical theatre."
