Robyn Goodman, Amanda Lipitz and Scott R. Delman -- producers of the new Broadway comedy The Performers by David West Read, announced today that the production will conclude its Broadway run on Sunday, November 18 following the evening show at the Longacre Theatre (220 W 48 St.)

THE PERFORMERS will have played 23 previews (2 previews were lost to the hurricane) and 7 performances at the time of closing.

THE PERFORMERS was that brand new show on the block that was building strong word-of-mouth during its first week of previews, only to be halted by the insurmountable after effects of Hurricane Sandy: lack of transportation, power outages and gas shortages chief among them.

THE PERFORMERS has an all-star cast including Cheyenne Jackson, Ari GraynorDaniel Breaker, Jenni Barber with Alicia Silverstone and with Henry Winkler, all of whom enjoyed the audience's hearty laughter every night.

Directed by Evan Cabnet, The Performers is David West Read's backstage romantic comedy about two friends from high school -- and the women in their lives -- who are reunited at the Adult Film Awards in Las Vegas.

The remaining performance schedule for The Performers is: November 15 and 16 at 8 pm; November 17 at 2 and 8 pm; and November 18 at 2 and 7 pm.
