THE LION KING's Alton Fitzgerald White Brings BROADWAY MY WAY to Metropolitan Room Tonight
Vocalist, actor, and dancer, Alton Fitzgerald White, one of Broadway's most inspiring performers, best known as Mufasa in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway, will appear at Manhattan's Metropolitan Room, tonight, April 8, 2013, at 7 p.m.
Alton returns to the elegant Metropolitan Room following a sold-out performance just two months ago. During his upcoming engagement, entitled Broadway My Way, Alton will deliver an alternate journey from his recent CD release of Disney tunes titled, DISNEY MY WAY, sharing his unique take on Broadway's most celebrated songs and melodies. Art critics from Variety Magazine, The New York Times, among other media outlets have applauded his triumphant vocal interpretations.Alton Fitzgerald White's performances have been called completely modern yet brimming with nostalgia. In his riveting performances in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway he's typically finished in dramatic makeup and ornate costume. Alton Fitzgerald White is a celebrated Broadway veteran who has appeared in six Broadway Hits. In addition to his work on stage, Alton regularly appears in television commercials, performs in musical tours, and is a recognizable vocal talent on many bestselling audiobooks. He made his professional Broadway debut as John in Miss Saigon with his powerful heart rending performance of the anthem, "Bui Doi" bringing nightly standing ovations.
