This week, we're featuring ANYTHING GOES star Robert Petkoff, a longtime Broadway favorite who has also starred in RAGTIME, SPAMALOT and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

CRAZY FOR YOU was the first show I saw on Broadway, but when I was in high school, my parents got a subscription to the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago, and in one season I saw the touring companies of CAMELOT with Richard Burton, MY FAIR LADY with Rex Harrison, THE KING AND I with Yul Brynner, and SWEENEY TODD with Angela Lansbury and George Hearn. That kind of sealed the deal with the acting thing for me.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I have to take off my wedding ring for performances, so I give it a kiss when I take it off and one when I put it back on. Silly, but it means something to me.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

Not sure if this qualifies, but I was doing a play in Los Angeles and the leading lady was going through an emotional breakup in real life that mirrored the breakup she had to do in the final act of the play. It was very hard for her and one night I heard loud voices at intermission and her dresser was standing at the stage door barring the leading lady from leaving. She kept saying she couldn't do it and her dresser kept saying she couldn't leave. Her dresser eventually won, thank goodness.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

I would love to play Cyrano in Rostand's play.

Who is your Broadway crush?

I don't want to name names, but I get to kiss her every night on stage... I think anyone who hangs around with her more than a few minutes can't help but have a little crush.
