What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?
The first show I ever saw on Broadway was Phantom of the Opera.
What is your most unique pre-show ritual?
My most unique pre-show ritual is to make sure I have exactly 3 throat pastilles (Grethers) in my pocket. Gotta keep the voice from getting dry.
What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?
Well... I have several, but when it comes to Rock, there was one time Constantine Maroulis cut his hand pretty bad and had to bow out at halftime. I was the only cover in the building that day, so I had to get out of my Joey Primo garb – which involves a LOT of tight clothes, black eye makeup, and tattoos – and put on all the Drew stuff (which is the complete opposite of Joey Primo), in order to go on for him for the 2nd half of the show. It was nuts!
What is the one role you want to play before you die?
As of now, it would be Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys. :)
Who is your Broadway crush?
Haha... Well, I'm gonna go with my FIRST Broadway crush from back in the day, and that would be the lovely Bernadette Peters!
