THE ELEPHANT MAN, Starring Bradley Cooper, Seeks Limited Broadway Engagement

Bradley Cooper, best known for his appearances in Hollywood hits including "The Hangover" series and "Limitless," may return to Broadway next fall. The actor - who made his Broadway debut in 2006's THREE DAYS OF RAIN - recently starred as John Merrick in The Elephant Man at Williamstown Theatre Festival, and tells E! Online that he plans to reprise the role on the Great White Way.

"We're going to try to do it on Broadway next fall," Cooper says of the show, which wrapped up its Williamstown run on August 5. "We're going to try to nail it down and do a limited run."

The Elephant Man was directed by Scott Ellis at Williamstown Theatre Festival. In addition to Cooper, the cast featured Patricia Clarkson, Shuler Hensley, Scott Lowell, Alessandro Nivola and Marguerite Stimpson.

From a desperate existence in a Victorian freak show to his days as the toast of London high society, the life of John Merrick, The Elephant Man, has fascinated the world for well over a century. Though his disfigurement brought notoriety, it was his unblemished inner humanity that most astonished those around him, compelling examinations of their own prejudices and beliefs. Shattering our illusions of normalcy, The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance weaves Merrick's tale into a parable on beauty, innocence, and human dignity.

The creative team included Timothy Mackabee (Scenic and Projections Design), Clint Ramos (Costume Design), Philip Rosenberg (Lighting Design), Tom Kochan (Original Music/Co-Sound Design), Drew Levy (Co-Sound Design), and Charles LaPointe (Hair & Wig Design).
