THE BERENSTAIN BEARS LIVE Honors Jan Berenstain This Weekend
|
This weekend the family musical, now in an open-ended run, will pay tribute to the late co-creator of The Berenstain Bears, Jan Berenstain, who passed away last Friday. Performing in her honor at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre (10 West 64th Street), Bear Country will come alive on stage with the spirit of Jan Berenstain and all she has done to bring the lovable Bear Family to life.
Producer Matt Murphy says “We are all honored to have been a part of Jan’s dream by bringing her characters to life on stage every weekend. Our show will continue to inspire children just as the books have for 50 years, with the spirit of Jan Berenstain living on in our story.”
The Berenstain Bears LIVE! gives boys and girls of all ages the chance to fall in love with these characters, just as their parents did when they were growing up. The Berenstain Bears LIVE! features an original score by Michael Borton and a book by Borton and Michael Slade. The Berenstain Bears LIVE! is produced by Matt Murphy Productions.
