Broadway's THE ADDAMS FAMILY, the ideal Halloween musical, will spend the rest of October presenting several Halloween events.

On "Thriller Thursday," October 27, THE ADDAMS FAMILY will partner with Fathom Events to present Butterfinger the 13th, a special horror featurette, followed by the docu-drama feature film, Jack the Ripper: The Definitive Story. The screenings will start at 7:30 p.m. at local theaters, but get there early for a special video from THE ADDAMS FAMILY.

On Saturday October 29th, visit Toys R Us in Times Square for the "Spook"tacular Halloween Celebration. From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., cast members from THE ADDAMS FAMILY will be available for autographs and pictures as they hand out goodies to all the trick-or-treaters. Activities like cookie-decorating and a Halloween parade will follow and last until 3 p.m.

On Sunday, October 23rd, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., join cast members from THE ADDAMS FAMILY for a special Halloween-themed story time at Books of Wonder, New York City's oldest and largest independent children's bookstore. Cast members will read some of their favorite children's Halloween stories and sign autographs. Throughout the month of October, customers who purchase a book from the Halloween table at Books of Wonder will be entered to win a pair of tickets to THE ADDAMS FAMILY. The winner will be chosen at the Story Time event on the 23rd.
THE ADDAMS FAMILY cast will visit the New York Aquarium on October 30th from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for spooky stories and autograph signing. The annual Ascarium at the Aquarium Halloween celebration also includes sea monsters, magic shows, love music, storytelling, crafts, and a special Halloween 4-D feature, The Curse of Skull Rock, showing in the theater outside the aquarium entrance. Kids in costume get in free.

Now through October 28, enter THE ADDAMS FAMILY Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest. Use the Lurch or Fester character cutouts (posted on THE ADDAMS FAMILY Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/theaddamsfamilymusical#!/theaddamsfamilymusical), or create an Addams-themed slicing of your own design. Email a photo of your pumpkin to AddamsContest@gmail.com by 11:59 pm on October 28th, and the top pumpkin carver will win a pair of tickets to THE ADDAMS FAMILY on Broadway for a performance this November.

Six Flags Great Adventure is hosting its 20th annual Fright Fest celebration. Weekends in October, head to Six Flags and enjoy a number of special activities and the ultimate Monster Mash Bash, a kid's musical comedy featuring Halloween monsters and pop music hits, sponsored by THE ADDAMS FAMILY.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY will perform on Broadway through December 31 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). THE ADDAMS FAMILY stars Brooke Shields as Morticia and Roger Rees as Gomez. Also featured in the cast are Brad Oscar as Fester, Rachel Potter as Wednesday, Jackie Hoffman as Grandma, Zachary James as Lurch, Adam Riegler as Pugsley, Heidi Blickenstaff as Alice Beineke, Adam Grupper as Mal Beineke and Jesse Swenson as Lucas Beineke.

Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, THE ADDAMS FAMILY features a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The production is directed and designed (sets and costumes) by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch, with creative consultation by Jerry Zaks and choreography by Sergio Trujillo. Lighting design is by Natasha Katz, sound design is by ACME Sound Partners and puppetry is by Basil Twist
