TADA! Youth Theater Announces Summer Camp Open House

Called "one of the nation's most distinctive youth theaters" by the LA Times, TADA! Youth Theater has been featured in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, NY Magazine and on Good Morning America and has been the training ground for the next generation of Broadway, TV and film performer for the past 26th years. TADA will open its doors so you and your children can see what the summer has in store.

TADA! Is best known for its award winning youth ensemble which has been awarded by the White House with the "Coming Up Taller" Award and was the first youth ensemble ever recognized by the prestigious Drama Desk Award Committee. TADA!'s programs have helped launch the careers of such rising stars including Sasha Allen (Hair), Ben Levin ("As the World Turns"), Ricki Lake ("The Ricki Lake Show," Hairspray), Mizuo Peck (Night at the Museum) , Josh Peck ("Drake and Josh, The Wackness, Ice Age) , Jordan Peele (EMMY Award Nominee, "MadTV"), Victoria Platt Tilford ("The Gates," My Girlfriends Back, Ride Along), Amar Ramasar (principle dancer for NY City Ballet), Aurora Rose (Central Parks Summer Stage), Christina Vidal (Freaky Friday, Magic Man), and Kerry Washington (Bway's RACE, Films: Ray, The Last King of Scotland, The Fantastic Four).

Open House schedule for the day includes:

9-14 Years
12:00-12:20 - Sample Activity Session
12:20-12:50 - Q&A Session on TADA!'s Week-long Camps
1:00-1:20 - Sample Activity Session
1:20-1:50 - Q&A Session on TADA!'s Week-long Camps

Complimentary light refreshments will be provided!

SUMMER CAMPS & CLASSES
June 13-17: First Summer Week-long Camp ( 6-9 yrs. and 9-14 yrs.)
August 29-September 2: Last Summer Week-long Camp ( 6-9 yrs. and 9-14 yrs.)

24 on-site Week-long camps at TADA!, 15 West 28th St.
4 Upper West Side Week-long camps at The Culture Center, 410 Columbus Ave.

Each 5-day camp features new Teaching Artists and a different theme from which the group writes and performs a brand new show. So take one or take 'em all!

Week-long camps run Monday-Friday 9am-2:30pm, and end in a sharing for your family! You get a free TADA! t-shirt and we film each show so that you have the chance to take a DVD home with you...the memories will last a lifetime!

Extended Day program, Afternoon Adventures runs 2:30 to 5:30 PM, Monday-Thursday. Includes theater games, theatrical design, outdoor playtime and more!

Summer classes for ages 2-5 (starting May 25 for two semesters)
Semester I: 7 weeks; Semester II: 8 weeks. $195 per semester.

Summer doesn't stop the Musical Theater fun for the littlest of thespians too!
TADA!'s Theater on Their Scale (T.O.T.S.) programs continue on Wednesday afternoons with:
Creative Musical Play (ages 4-5 from 3-4 PM) and Mommy & Me (ages 2-3 from 3-4 PM)
