Symphony Space is celebrating the magic of composers for a week in February with their "Composers Now" series. From February 22 through the 28th, in various venues throughout New York City, today's composers, both world-renowned and slowly emerging, will share the music of our times and engage in dialogue.
As part of Symphony Space-New York Times "Speaking of the Arts" series and the opening day of "Composers Now", New York Times culture writer Daniel J. Wakin speaks with composers Joan Tower, Arturo O'Farrill, Henry Threadgill, Eisa Davis (Passing Strange), and Tony Award winner Jeanine Tesori.
Passing Strange star Eisa Davis will also perform on February 26 with some of her favorite musicians to present an evening of favorite material mixed with new songs. Tickets to this event range in price from $20-$30 and can be purchased by visiting www.symphonyspace.org.
