On July 25, 2011 at 7pm, Susan Blackwell (Now. Here. This., [Title of Show]) and Joe Iconis (Things to Ruin, Bloodsong of Love) will join Larry Smith's next six-word memoir reading series at the 92YTribeca. Both Blackwell and Iconis are cooking up original six-word memoirs and backstories on the theme of: "I'm only popular during summer camp: Six-Word Tales From Summer Camp, Summer Stock, & the Family Vacation."

Also a part of the lineup are authors Ann Leary and Deborah Copaken Kogan, teen story slam winner Ava Crawford and, maybe, you. Audiences who have a memoir and backstory around their theme are invited to post six-words on the event's Facebook page http://on.fb.me/m2Ot1s for a chance to be selected to join their July lineup and read their story on stage.

In addition to the event, Smith and the 92YTribeca are hosting a pre-show happy hour (starting at 6pm) and a post-show story slam, where audience members can share their own six-word memoirs.

The six-word memoir reading series, co-produced by Smith founder Larry Smith and Ashley Van Buren, began this past February at the 92YTribeca.

Tickets are $10 in advance through the Y's website here.
