Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project Presents SORDID LIVES 8/15
Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project is proud to present SORDID LIVES - Celebrity Edition, Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre, 25 N. Pineapple Ave., downtown Sarasota. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Golden Apple Dinner Theatre where so many of the Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project events have taken place.
SORDID LIVES by Del Shore serves up a heaping helping of Southern-fried comedy. When their sister dies, Latrelle, LaVonda and Sissy plan her funeral, an unenviable task, considering that they must carefully hide the deceased's affair with amputee G.W. from his wife, the vindictive Noleta. Meanwhile, the trio has to come to terms with two cases of sexual orientation: Latrelle's openly gay soap-opera star son Ty, whose sexuality she continues to deny; and their only brother, Brother Boy, who's serving a sentence in a mental ward for his adamant belief that he is actually country & western legend Tammy Wynette!
SORDID LIVES - Celebrity Edition stars ShaRon Scott, Les McCurdy, Joey Panek, David Valdez, Jeff Kin, Steven Dawson, Kyle Ennis Turoff, Roberta MacDonald, Ben Turoff, Alyssa Goudy, Beneva Fruitville and other surprise guests.
Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness, provide assistance, and perpetuate a life of dignity for those affected and infected by HIV and AIDS.
SORDID LIVES - Celebrity Edition will perform one night only, Monday, August 15, 2011. Admission is $15.00. Tickets can be purchased by contacting The Golden Apple Dinner Theatre at 941-365-5454 or www.thegoldenapple.com. Doors open at 6:00 pm, curtain time is 8:00 pm, light food and cash bar available.
