Summer Solos Series Launches 6/18 At Soho Playhouse

Producers Scott Morfee and Darren Lee Cole have announced the debut of  the new Summer Solos Series, a celebration of the best in solo performance and shows by acclaimed playwrights and performers.  The one-night-only performance series begins June 18, 2009, continuing through August 4, 2009 at Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street).  A special benefit performance of
Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell is scheduled for July 16, 2009 with proceeds going to the Spalding Gray Scholarship Fund.  All performances begin at 8:00 p.m.  Immediately following each
performance there will be a brief reception with the artist in the Huron Club, located inside the Soho Playhouse.

The Summer Solos Series will run in conjunction with the solo production of Krapp 39, written and performed by Michael Laurence and directed by George Demas, currently in performance at the Soho Playhouse.  The performance schedule for Krapp 39 is Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 5:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m., Sundays at 5:00 p.m., with a special added performance Wednesday, June 10 at 3:00 p.m.

Summer Solos Series producers Morfee and Cole hope to make the series an annual summer event.

All tickets are $35 with a portion of the proceeds from each performance going to benefit the Spalding Gray Scholarship Fund, and may be purchased by visiting the Soho Playhouse website at
