Submissions Accepted For Courthouse's Battle Of The Bands 6/5, 6/6

The Courthouse Center for the Arts recently announced its first Battle of the “Garage” Bands this June.

Local bands will perform at the Courthouse Center for the Arts to compete for a $250 cash prize in both high school and college level divisions.

Bands interested in entering the Battle must fill out and send in a Submission Form which is available to download on www.courthousearts.org along with a press kit (band photo, demo, bio).  Bands must also include a 20 minute set list with their Submission Form especially noting any covers they will be performing. Submission must also include a $25 submission fee; checks made payable to Courthouse Center for the Arts.

Submissions are due in by 4pm on May 1st after that date we will be posting clips of the bands’ music on our website where it can be voted on by anyone who visits our site.  The ten bands with the most votes will be chosen to perform on June 5th & 6th, five bands per night.

The Battle of the “Garage” Bands will take place on Friday June 5th and Saturday June 6th from 7-10 pm.  Questions may be adressed to Preston Lawhorne at (401) 782-1018 x10 or preston@courthousearts.org.
