Strawdog Theatre Company, currently launching its 24th Anniversary Season with Harold Pinter's Old Times, October 9 - November 12, has announced the appointment of its new managing director, Patrick Rybarczyk. Artistic Director Brandon Bruce commented on the addition of Rybarcyzk to the Strawdog Theatre Company team, "Patrick brings with him a great deal of administrative experience coupled with a knowledge of the "down-and-dirty" approach that storefront theatre requires. I am very much looking forward to partnering with Patrick and our general manager, Cortney Hurley as Strawdog moves toward our 25th seson," Rybarczyk said, "I am very proud to become part of the Strawdog family. It is with great enthusiasm that I return to a more active role in the Chicago theatre scene. I could not be more pleased to start working for this incredible company and to help spread the word of the work being done at Strawdog."
Rybarczyk assumes the position of managing director following the recent departure of Hank Boland. Boland left the position in August 2011 to pursue graduate level work towards an MFA in Playwriting but will continue on as an active ensemble member with the company. "With the addition of Patrick behind the scenes and Brandon as artistic director, Strawdog starts its 24th season in very capable hands. We look forward to our new season and a new era in Strawdog's long history." Strawdog's Board President Seth Rickard said. "

Former Managing Director Hank Boland added, "I am very pleased with the appointment of Patrick. It's been a long two years at Strawdog, with lots of changes, but we've got the right people in the right positions to lead the company in the right direction. I look forward to working closely with both Brandon and Patrick in Season 24, and as we begin to plan Season 25, and well beyond that."
