The Stella Adler Studio welcomes Louis Jenkins for a poetry reading on Friday, December 12 at 1:00 pm. The reading is presented by The Harold Clurman Center for Poetry, Poetic Drama and the Spoken Word and is free and open to the public. Jenkins will read from his latest book, European Shoes (Will o' the Wisp Books), which was released this month. Jenkins will also be available to sign copies of the book.

Actor, director and playwright, Mark Rylance, will introduce Louis Jenkins. The two men are also collaborating on a one-man show based on Jenkins's poetry, to be performed by Rylance. The first workshop of this piece is on Monday, December 15. Among his many accomplishments as a theater artist, Rylance appeared in Boeing-Boeing on Broadway. He won both a Drama Desk award and a Tony award for his work and for his acceptance speech for the Tony, Rylance read a piece by Louis Jenkins.

"It is a great pleasure to have Mark and Louis participate in the Studio's lecture series," says Tom Oppenheim, Artistic Director of the Stella Adler Studio. "Both men are exceptional artists and their very presence at the school enriches and expands our community. It is our goal to bring artists like these men into contact with our students, faculty and the city of New York."
