Stages St. Louis PROMISES, PROMISES Receives Live Design 2011 Excellence Award

STAGES ST. LOUIS, the region's foremost not-for-profit musical theatre company and performing arts academy, is thrilled to announce the 2010 production ofPromises, Promiseswill be recognized by Live Design Magazine at the Fourth Annual Excellence in Live Design Awards in New York City during the Broadway Master Classes later this month.

The award recognizes the tremendous professional talent of Scenic Designer Mark Halpin and Lighting Designer Matthew McCarthy. Nominees were highlighted in the April issue and readers were able to vote online in all categories for the remainder of the month. The winners were announced on May 5, 2011 by the magazine and all award-winning projects will be featured in the June-July issue.

Other projects that will be recognized are: American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) for Architainment; Jay-Z and Eminem, Home and Home Shows for Concert; Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniversary National Scout Jamboree for Corporate Event; Ferrari World Grand Opening for Live for Broadcast; Eco Shipping Container Lounge,The Voodoo Music and Art Festival,for Temporary Structure; Luna Nightclub and Lounge for Venue (Club or Lounce) and Emerson College Paramount Center Renovation for Venue (Theatre).
