Stage Tube: PETA’s ‘The Post Office’ With The Loboc Children’s Choir
Featuring international child actor Martin Delos Santos, stage luminaries Jojo Atienza, Bembol Roco, Bodjie Pascua, and the world-renowned Loboc Children's Choir, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) has just presented a Filipino adaptation of Indian poet and playwright Rabindranath Tagore's "The Post Office" at the PETA Center Theatre in New Manila, Quezon City.
Carlos Palanca award-winning writer Rody Vera reconstructs a contemporary milieu based on Tagore's Bengali narrative. The newly-adapted piece transposes early 20th century rural Bengal into a modern day Filipino town.
Jeff Hernandez composes the incidental music. Gardy Labad directs.
