St. Germain's The God Committee Closes Off-Bway April 16

Mark St. Germain's play The God Committee will close at Off-Broadway's Lamb's Theatre on April 16th.

The play, which stars Larry Keith, Ron Orbach and Michael Mulheren, opened on March 29th after beginning previews on March 11th. At closing, it will have played 22 previews and 21 regular performances.

Directed by Kevin Moriarty, the play also features Maha Chehlaoui, Peter Jay Fernandez, Amy van Nostrand and Brenda Thomas. It concerns a dilemma that arises once a heart becomes available for transplant, as a selection committee must decide which patient to help.

Keith has appeared on Broadway in Caroline, or Change, Cabaret, Titanic, Gigi, My Fair Lady and others. Orbach's Broadway credits include Never Gonna Dance, Dance of the Vampires and Laughter on the 23rd Floor.  Mulheren has been seen in La Cage aux Folles, The Boy from Oz, Kiss Me, Kate (for which he received a Tony nomination), Titanic and On the Waterfront.

St. Germain has written plays such as Camping with Henry and Tom and Ears on a Beetle. With Randy Courts, he has penned the musicals The Gift of the Magi, Johnny Pye and the Foolkiller and Jack's Holiday.

The show features sets by Beowulf Borritt, costumes by David Murin, and lighting by Tyler Micoleau.
