Spider Woman Kisses New Conservatory Theatre
San Francisco's innovative New Conservatory Theatre Center opened their 12th Pride Season with the stirring play, Kiss of the Spider Woman, which began performances August 11 and continues until September 17.
Kiss of the Spider Woman is a "sharply provocative tale of love, victimization, and fantasy," states press notes. "This well known play by Argentine novelist Manuel Puig, tells the story of the friendship that develops between two strikingly different men imprisoned together in a Latin American jail." Based off the novel, NCTC is presenting the play, created prior to the movie and musical adaptation.Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 2:00PM. Tickets are $22 to 40 with student discount tickets at $15, and a group discount $5 off any regular ticket price. Pay What You Wish Night is this Thursday, August 17.
