By:

Due to unprecedented demand, SpeakEasy Stage Company will extend its acclaimed production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE two additional weeks thru Sunday, June 19. The show absolutely must close on Sunday, June 19th.

Most of the original cast, including Karen MacDonald, Thomas Derrah, and Will McGarrahan, will continue in their roles for these extra weeks.
Beginning on June 14, however, Leigh Barrett will take over for Kerry A. Dowling in the role of Mrs. Tottendale, Alison McCartan will take over for McCaela Donovan as Janet Van De Graaff, and Stephanie Moskal will join the ensemble.
The schedule for the extension weeks will be as follows:

Tues, Wed, Thurs. 7:30PM, Fri. & Sat. at 8PM, Sunday at 3PM.

Additional performances are scheduled for Sat. 6/18 at 4PM and Sun. 6/19 at 7PM.
Tickets for these added shows are now on sale.

Ticket prices range from $30-$57 with discounts for seniors. Persons under age 25 are $25 at all times. Student rush is $14 one hour before curtain with valid ID. For tickets or more information, the public is invited to call 617-933-8600 or visit www.SpeakEasyStage.com.

Featuring music & lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE begins when a die-hard musical theatre fan plays a favorite cast album on his turntable, and the show magically bursts to life in his living room. Instantly he is immersed in the hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day in a show that pays tribute to American musicals of the Jazz Age.

THE DROWSY CHAPERONE will continue to play in the Roberts Studio Theatre in the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts, 527 Tremont Street in Boston's South End.
