The UK's Telegraph is reporting that EQUUS star Daniel Radcliffe told producer Candia Fisher that he would like his next stage performance to be an all-singing affair. Radcliffe scored big at the annual Gypsy of the Year event this year performing an original song, written by Radcliffe himself, entitled "The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Neigh" that included the show's "horses" dancing and cavorting with their young star.

Daniel Radcliffe has become a Rialto favorite ever since his highly acclaimed Broadway debut landed him on our theatrical shores.

Under the direction of Thea Sharrock, EQUUS opened on September 25 for a strictly limited engagement through February 8, 2009 at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street).

Daniel Radcliffe is best known for playing the title role in all five of the "Harry Potter" films to date, and will star again in the sixth, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," due out July 2009. EQUUS also stars Richard Griffiths, with whom Daniel appeared in last year's highly successful production of the play in London's West End.

EQUUS is Peter Shaffer's play about a boy with a secret and the surprising things that happen when a beautiful young girl brings that secret to light. After the mild-mannered stable boy Alan Strang (played by Daniel Radcliffe) has committed a serious crime, the court-appointed psychiatrist Martin Dysart (Richard Griffiths) is charged with revealing the mysteries behind the boy's behavior while confronting his own self-doubt in his marriage, his profession and his life.

Featured in the cast of EQUUS are Kate Mulgrew, Anna Camp, Carolyn McCormick, Lorenzo Pisoni, T. Ryder Smith, Graeme Malcolm, Sandra Shipley, Collin Baja, Tyrone Jackson, Spencer Liff, Adesola Osakalumi, and Marc Spaulding.

Musical project currently in development that Radcliffe would be interested in is in the works. May appear in sing down in NY in the not-so-distant future.
