'Sherlock Solo' Ends Limited Run February 2

Resonance Ensemble's (Artistic Director, Eric Parness; Managing Director, Rachel Reiner) world-premiere new play Sherlock Solo: An Original Presentation by the Master Detective -  written and performed by Victor L. Cahn as the greatest detective to ever aid Scotland Yard…Sherlock Holmes will end its limited run at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) on Saturday February 2nd, as previously announced.

Sherlock Solo brings the great detective - Sherlock Holmes played by Victor L. Cahn - out of retirement to tell the story of a previously undisclosed case that unfolded during the absence of his customary narrator, Dr. Watson, involving a mysterious woman who proves to be an unsettling presence in Holmes' life.

Directed by Resonance Ensemble Artistic Director Eric Parness, design team for Sherlock Solo is Sarah B. Brown (Set Design), Pamela Kupper (Lighting Design), Sidney Shannon (Costume Design), and Nick Moore (Sound Design).

Victor L. Cahn has written several works produced Off-Broadway, including Fit to Kill, Roses in December, and Embraceable Me. Cahn has appeared onstage with Home Made Theater, Curtain Call Theatre, Albany Civic Theater, Schenectady Civic Players, Cohoes Music Hall, Hubbard Hall, and Theater Voices. He is Professor of English at Skidmore College, and author of books on Shakespeare, Tom Stoppard, and Harold Pinter.

Eric Parness is the Artistic Director of Resonance Ensemble, where he has directed productions of Antigone, The Lower Depths, LA Tempestad, last season's world premiere of The Mail Order Bride by Charles L. Mee, and adapted and directed Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard earlier this season. Other directing credits include the recent critical hit Crazy for the Dog at the Bouwerie Lane, Fit to Kill at the Clurman, Oberon Theatre Ensemble's The Winter's Tale, Of Mice and Men and Measure for Measure.

Scheduled January 10 through February 2 at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) Sherlock Solo: An Original Presentation by the Master Detective will perform Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm &8pm and Sundays at 2pm (with an added performance on Monday, January 14 at 7pm).
