ShennanArts announces auditions for Disney's Mulan Jr. Saturday May 21st 8:30 am - 1:00 pm at The nTelos Theatre

The story of a young girl?s bravery and love comes to ShenanArts this fall! The Huns have invaded! Mulan must take up the sword to save her father?s life, and save China. This is a beautiful story about being true to yourself and doing what is right, even when the odds are against you!

Show Dates and Rehearsals:
Show dates are: October 21, 22, 23 and 28, 29, 30, 2011.
Rehearsals: Begin Tuesday, August 2, 2011 6:30 pm
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm
and Saturdays, 10am to 12 noon

Audition Info:
Auditions will start at 8:30 am on Saturday. Everyone who wants to audition will need to arrive by that time. This helps us know how many people we have to audition and makes the day go much smoother. Please plan on the auditions possibly going to 1 pm or later.

Schedule:
8:30-9 am: Sign in
9 am: Dance audition
10 am: Beginning of individual auditions
1 pm: Call backs
(Please note that the time for callbacks may change dependent on how many people arrive to audition)

*Only a few children between the ages of 8 and 10 will be cast.
* A participation fee of $100 is required for those under the age of 18. Some scholarships are available.

What you need:
· A song from the musical theatre or Disney genres that shows off your vocal range and acting skills. Songs from Mulan are permitted. Accompaniment will be provided for people with sheet music.
· Length: 90 seconds. If the song you want to sing is too long, then choose the best part.
· Headshot and Resume will be accepted but are not required.
· A positive attitude!
