Clybourne Park

Jokes fly and hidden agendas unfold as two vastly different generations of characters tip-toe
the delicate dance of social politics, pitting race against real estate at the crux of
two seminal events — 50 years apart — in the same north Chicago house.

Clybourne Park, the rich and darkly satirical 2011 Olivier Award winning comedy, is every bit
provocative as it is entertaining.

A Raisin In The Sun
Jan 19 – Feb 19, 2012

Kirk Douglas Theatre

Now - some 50+ years later - A Raisin in the Sun is still every bit as potent, poignant and intrepid
in this triumphant revival directed by Phylicia Rashad (who won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Actress for A Raisin in the Sun) in her Los Angeles directorial debut.

A life insurance policy becomes a catalyst that will forever transform the lives of an African American family living on the south side of Chicago. Dreams of their first real home collide with conflicting aspirations, betrayal and racism.
